It's Xmas

Well, I can't believe it's that time of year again. I'm waiting on my S.T.A.M.P.S Watch to come in the mail. Went to a Bad Girl Ventures event last night. I was showcasing my wrist bags to the pubic again. At this new nightclub (Launch/Lunar) in downtown Cincy. It's a nice club, the bathroom doors reminded me. Of some of my favorite restaurants in NYC in Soho who have thoses frosted glass doors. Way too cool. Oh well. Hopefully next year will be better than this year. Missing my Roc. Over and out.

If I remember correctly. Any way they are so sooooo cute. Also you can wear then as a belt, bracelet, necklace and bags. Oh my! Can't wait to order some. The cost runs about $65.00. So spend, your money it's worth the price!

FOOD | NYC

A recent trip to New York City made me hungrey for more. "Rice to Riches." This rice pudding shop is so wonderful and cute. Like a modern day ice cream shop with lots, lots, lots of favors. Like coconut coma, surrender to mango, rest in peach, hit and run custard and the milk chocolate only rings twice. The favors are to die for, literally. The hole brand is funny and cute "see no shit, hear no shit, eat no shit." Now I got the "solo" apple pie take off very, very good. Taste just like an apple pie just out of the oven, like mom used to make. Next time I need to explore more flavors. Also check out the "milk bar" in the East Village by Momofuku Sum very, very, good desserts indeed. Yum, yum.

NEW Music |

Hello all, it's been awhile. Sorry about that. So what's happening in the icongraphx world. Well, just recently returned from NYC and saw this band. From Japan called "Boom Boom Satellites " they where FANTASTIC! I must say. They sing in English, but its rock n roll that meets techno. Check out the drummer, "Yoko Fukoda" she can PLAY. They were the opening act for the one and only Gary Numan the "Cars" legend. Check out, my good friend May's review at the Examiner.

Oh, I'm starting a evening bag collection soon and perhaps a hat collection for next year. Watch out for Boom Boom Satellites for their 2011 North American tour. It's worth the price

Folks they just melt in your mouth. So, far I have eaten the Tahiti, American Beauty to come is the Chai, Carmel, Cinnamon, Plain Jane and finally the Dark Berry. Which has a hint of raspberry in a swirl to tickle my mouth. Waiting on the Strawberry. Sounds like a food trip to Columbus for this one or an order online. Also of interest is Georgetown Cupcakes which will be featured on the Travel Channel. Folks, you want be disappointed. It's worth the two or one hour drive up I-71 North. All depending upon how fast I drive, Ciao for now!

GADGETS | iPhone 4

Seems to be the phone to get. I have to wait to get my version from AT&T next summer. I like the FaceTime app, but be careful people. This app can be scary of what people may end of doing on the screen. HD video with iMovie on the phone now, that's great. And of course all the new features being offered. My nephew should be getting his very soon. So I will be playing with it in a couple of weeks and I report more about this phone.

UPDATE | Audi TT

I have seem 3 more so far.

Columbus | dining

I spent last weekend in Columbus and dine at some wonderful restaurants. Dining in Columbus is cool. The restaurants in this city remind me of the restaurants in New York City. I used to frequent. The diverse favors in twined in a diverse cultural city. Individualizes speciality's like NorthStar Cafe on 951 North High Street next to a White Castles. They specialize in organic foods like Sweet Potato and Turkey Hash, Big Burrito, BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Northstar Burger and the home made Ginger Ale. Warning! Go early it stays busy! All day long!!!

Another discovery is my favorite coffee house Cafe Apropos on 443 West Third Ave. They make the best home made Chai very close in favor to The Republic of Tea concentrated Chai Tea.

A newly discovery restaurant located on one of many back alley ways is called Tasi 680 North Pearl Street. Reminds me of a cafe in Paris or dining al fresco in the countryside. The Cinnamon Challah French Toast with Bananas and Pure Maple Syrup was simple French and delicious. My next visit. I will try the Cafe Frittate. Parking is limited so come early or with a small car. It's aways back off the main road of North High Street in the Short North District.

Another great European dining experience is The Burgundy Room 642 North High Street in the Short North again. The Short North District is the place to eat in Columbus.

And for ice cream that tastes like your grandma has made them on a hot summer day. But, in very, very, very different favors is Jeni's. This ice cream shop likes to mix favors together to make an exotic taste. For the adventurous side in all of us, like Strawberry Buttermilk, Riesling Poached Pear, Honey Vanilla Bean and Belgian Milk Chocolate. Just to start with. But, not as good a Graeters for your traditional ice cream favors.

My next adventure is Sugardaddy's for brownies!

So, in a few weeks. I'll be very hungry to return to the Short North to eat again. Ciao!

UPDATE | Audi TT

Hello, everyone. I took a trip to Virginia to see my sister and saw about 5 TT's on the highways driving back home to Ohio. I saw 1 in West Virginia, 3 in Virginia and 1 more driving around town. Keeping a TT count folks. Ciao!

FOOD | blueberry pancakes

Well, I started out make Blueberry Pancakes just about every Saturday morning for breakfast. I used the recipe from this children's book "Old Black Witch" by Wende Devlin. Loved this recipe to death. Then as as adult. I just happen to catch the CBS Sunday Morning show and saw the "Batter Blaster" instant pancake and waffle mixture. Not that, I'm putting down in anyway "Aunt Jemima" but, I felt that this was good for single people. Who didn't want to have around the kitchen a box but a aerosol can for the fridge. For instant pancakes and waffles and perhaps a taste for some Belgium Waffles. Then, I decided to add some organic blueberry's from my favorite Kroger's store. WOW! Delicious!

design + style | cars

Well, this is kinda funny especially for me. I don't know if people every experiences anything like this. But if you do then you know what I'm going thru. Here we go! Back in the nineties a car came on the scene. The car "Audi TT". My mind and eyes zero in on this car. Then soon after that, I saw the "Audi TT" every where. Walking down the street, crossing the street, coming out of the subway, etc. etc. The "Audi TT" would just appear as if out of thin air. As I'm crossing the street that car the "Audi TT" would have just stop for the light or is driving down the street. Of course that happen in NYC. Now in my new city the same thing happens. I'm on the look out. My eagles eye is searching the landscape. I sense this car in the air and it just appears. It just turned the corner. It just drove pass me. I scream at myself and say "One day I shall own one." Another thing happens when I'm driving out of town. Is that the "Audi TT" greets me. Is this faith or "The Secret." My last encounter so far was at a Home Depot store. A white 2010 model, I believe from a distance was about five rolls from my parked car. I tell you. I can spot them a mile away. All I know is that I want to OWN this "Audi TT." And one day it SHALL HAPPEN!
The "Audi TT" has a nice style with very clean lines, looks like a body or better yet a cloud. All I know is that, I just to want to make out. Oh, I forgot to mention listening to some Sade as I'm driving down a road. Something like Smooth Operator.

Here are more cars I admire for clean simply feminine lines they are the Mercedes-Benz E350 and VW Eos. Simply, simply beautiful! They are eye catchers. Guess what, I like the "Smart Car" also.

travels to | italia

This blog is about the adventures in my life the good/bad parts of living in this world. My trips to my beloved Italia. I travel to Italia twice for a total of six weeks all in the month of October. Italia, buon Italia, amo Italia. I love this country. I believed that I once lived here in my past life. For some reason I knew were to go. I wanted to kiss the ground I just landed on. Via it be Delta Airlines, thank you. I took the subway into city, marvel at the ancient ruins I saw out the windows. I traveled to Roma, Roma I said to myself. While in Roma. I found a couple of pairs of shoes [4 for $500.00 each] by Fausto Santini a truly divine shoe/handbag artistry designer. I had to chase down one pair of shoes by him. I finally found the pair in Milano, wow that was some train excursion I'll say. I had fun, fun, fun on those mopeds, being escorted around the city. Next, I'm traveling to the rolling hills/valleys of this great artistic city of Florenza. Home to [David!] Great handbag and leather goods shopping in Florenza. Another great handbag store to shop while traveling all over Italia is Mandarina Duck But, the ultimate city for me was Venezia [the city of love] my true home coming. The home of a true Libran. The city of love is beautiful, words can't describe how I felt about this city. It's in the air, the architecture, the food, the decor at top the buildings. It was breathe taking. I can see from its past that it was indeed a great city. Full of adventures with every turn down walking the canals. A great mysterious place of love and romance. The enchantment of its people and the buildings all have a story to tell. Did I tell you that. I had my very own [Madonna] "Like a virgin" singing in my head. Trip down the grand canal all by myself in my personal gondola ride. I could have walked for days criss crossing the canals. Making my way across every inch of the water city of live. Retracing my past life of living in Venezia, Italia. Great shopping for Venezia/Murano glass, all over the place. Oh well so time to catch the train to Milano to see the great DaVinci and fine that pair of shoes I want. Ciao, for now! [Belize may be next?]
