Columbus | dining

I spent last weekend in Columbus and dine at some wonderful restaurants. Dining in Columbus is cool. The restaurants in this city remind me of the restaurants in New York City. I used to frequent. The diverse favors in twined in a diverse cultural city. Individualizes speciality's like NorthStar Cafe on 951 North High Street next to a White Castles. They specialize in organic foods like Sweet Potato and Turkey Hash, Big Burrito, BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Northstar Burger and the home made Ginger Ale. Warning! Go early it stays busy! All day long!!!

Another discovery is my favorite coffee house Cafe Apropos on 443 West Third Ave. They make the best home made Chai very close in favor to The Republic of Tea concentrated Chai Tea.

A newly discovery restaurant located on one of many back alley ways is called Tasi 680 North Pearl Street. Reminds me of a cafe in Paris or dining al fresco in the countryside. The Cinnamon Challah French Toast with Bananas and Pure Maple Syrup was simple French and delicious. My next visit. I will try the Cafe Frittate. Parking is limited so come early or with a small car. It's aways back off the main road of North High Street in the Short North District.

Another great European dining experience is The Burgundy Room 642 North High Street in the Short North again. The Short North District is the place to eat in Columbus.

And for ice cream that tastes like your grandma has made them on a hot summer day. But, in very, very, very different favors is Jeni's. This ice cream shop likes to mix favors together to make an exotic taste. For the adventurous side in all of us, like Strawberry Buttermilk, Riesling Poached Pear, Honey Vanilla Bean and Belgian Milk Chocolate. Just to start with. But, not as good a Graeters for your traditional ice cream favors.

My next adventure is Sugardaddy's for brownies!

So, in a few weeks. I'll be very hungry to return to the Short North to eat again. Ciao!
